my day so far

• moved my car in the TORENTIAL rain (have it in NYC temporarily, alternate side of the street parking is a b*tch)
• made a raspberry coulis
• waited 40 min for an eye appointment while other people got walk-in's ahead of me
• listened to the optometrist rant and bemoan the fact that the larger frames that made her cry herself to sleep as a child are now so popular with the hipsters
• got my eyes dilated
• had one of my students tell me (after class) that she's a member of a BDSM community and feels non-normative sex is being stigmatized in some of the readings and is concerned about continuing on in gender studies (WAY above my pay-grade)
• made table-tents for Jane's party Friday
• caught up on last night's SYTYCD

Now I'm going to:

• meet Hannah at Prime Meats for steak (one of the last items on her NYC "to do" list)
• make chocolate soufles
• watch GLEE
